Solka-Floc® Environmentally Friendly Solka-Floc® has no toxic or hazardous components (arsenic, cristobalite) and is so pure that it can be used as a food ingredient. Mixes Easily, Precoats Rapidly Solka-Floc® purified cellulose wets out extremely easily. Uniform slurry is rapidly achieved which forms a more uniform coating, or “cake,” on the filter grids resulting in a more effective filtration surface area. Longer Filter Cycles Solka-Floc® forms a filter coating, or cake, with far more dirt holding capacity than other filtration media. Resulting in 2-6 times greater filtering cycles, when appropriately applied. Neutral pH and Low Water Solubles Solka-Floc® powdered cellulose has a neutral pH, in the 5.0- 7.5 range, as required for use in food. Also, its low water solubility, less than 1.5%, is ideal for all filtration applications.
