Brewing Filtration

In brewing filtration, Solka-Floc® and Alpha-Cel™ are typically used as filter aid precoats with a body feed of Diatomaceous Earth (DE) or perlite in plate and frame filters. IFC’s powdered cellulose fibers provide an effective, non- carcinogenic filtration / filter aid solution.

Solka-Floc® and Alpha-Cel™ powdered cellulose fibers are so effective for brewing filtration / filter aid applications that often times a "cold filtration" process with no pasteurization is possible – leading to more desirable flavor and odor retention in the final product.
